Stefan Wellanschitz, known for Kolfok, presents a blend of Rotburger and Blaufrankisch. The Rotburger originates from the slate and gravel soils at Hochberg Mountain's base, while the Blaufrankisch is from iron-rich soils in Stefan's hometown, with vines aged 10-35 years. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in large, used Austrian barrels (1500-3000 liters), this wine is crafted with minimal intervention, native yeasts, no fining, and minimal sulphur, resulting in a delightful, easy-drinking wine.
