Quinta do Poldrado - "Reserva" Tras-Os-Montes 2019 (750ml)

This robust wine from Northern Portugal features a commanding aroma of red fruits, undergrowth, violets, and blueberries, complemented by its dark, red-black appearance. The palate echoes this strength with a very fruity taste. The fruitiness persists nicely into the finish. It's a solid pick from the region.

Comprising 80% Touriga Nacional and 20% from Old Vines, grown on clay-limestone soils at 300 meters altitude, it undergoes spontaneous fermentation in old granite tanks, complete with foot stepping for optimal extraction. The wine is then aged in used French oak barrels for 18 months, followed by 6 months in steel and then bottled.
