Absente is crafted using the historic artisanal methods and techniques that date back to 1860-1912. Produced at Distillers-Domaines de Provence in Forcalquier, known as the hub of flavors and scents, Absente is concocted from classic absinthe herbs. These include the iconic wormwood, sweet anise, star anise, lemon balm, and peppermint, following one of the oldest traditional recipes from Southern France. Central to absinthe's identity, wormwood contains thujone, historically thought to stimulate creativity, enhance mental clarity, and induce transcendent experiences.
