Elote by Aquilino Garcia Lopez is a triple distilled Mezcal that unfolds with a nose rich in smoky toasted corn and the scent of dry river stones. Its body is sweet, imbued with wood notes and layers of honeycomb, green tropical fruit, and smoke. The finish is extended, brimming with flavors of mint and papaya. Between the second and third distillations, roasted corn from Aquilino's farm is added, infusing the final product with a distinct roasted corn flavor. This Mezcal retains hints of Vago Espadin's robust character, yet it concludes with a softer aftertaste that smoothens the edges of the Espadin.
